Get Noter

Noter is in private testing. You'll need an invite to sign in.

Android

The Android app is in testing and not on the Play Store yet. You can install the test version directly:

Download the Android app (APK)

  1. Open the downloaded fileTap the download notification, or find noter.apk in your Files app.
  2. Allow the installIf Android asks, allow "Install unknown apps" for your browser or Files app. You don't need developer mode.
  3. Sign inOpen Noter and sign in with your email and password (or Google).

The Play Store release comes after testing. Updates to the test version are installed the same way, over the top of the old one.

Any phone or computer

Open noter-dh6.pages.dev/app in your browser. In Chrome on Android, choose Add to Home screen from the menu to get an app icon. On a laptop, Chrome and Edge show an install button in the address bar.

Laptop app (Windows and macOS)

The desktop app opens Noter in its own window, separate from your browser.

  1. Install itThe test version isn't code-signed yet. On Windows, if "Windows protected your PC" appears, choose More info › Run anyway. On a Mac, right-click Noter in Applications and choose Open the first time.
  2. Link it with your phoneChoose Link with your phone. On your phone, open Noter › Settings › Linked devices › Link a device and scan the QR code. No password needed.

Prefer no install? In Chrome, Edge or Ulaa, open Noter and choose Install Noter from the address bar or menu.
