Terms of use
In short: your notes are yours. Use Noter lawfully, keep your own backups while it's in testing, and we'll give you notice before any fees or major changes.
1. Using Noter
These terms apply when you use the Noter app, website or Android app. By creating an account you agree to them. You must be at least 18. Noter is invite-only while it's in testing, and we may limit or stop invites at any time.
2. Your account
Keep access to your email secure, because sign-in links are sent there. You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
3. Your content
You own everything you put into Noter. You give us permission only to store, copy and display it so that the service works for you, for example syncing it to your devices and keeping backups. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backups that expire on their own schedule (see the privacy policy).
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Noter to store or share content that is illegal. Don't try to reach other people's data, overload or break the service, or resell it. We may suspend accounts that do, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
5. Testing, availability and backups
Noter is in testing. Features may change, and there may be downtime or bugs. We take care to protect your data and keep encrypted backups, but you should also download your own backup from time to time. Noter is provided "as is" during testing, without promises that it will always be available or error-free.
6. Fees
Noter is free during testing. If paid plans are introduced, we'll tell you at least 30 days before any charge applies. You'll be able to export everything and leave if you don't want to pay. Purchases made through Google Play also follow Google Play's terms.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using Noter and ask us to delete your account at any time. If we ever close the service, we'll give at least 60 days' notice so you can export your data.
8. Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for loss of data you could have avoided by keeping your own backup. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will show a notice in the app before important changes take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction.
